infographics: making smart stuff pretty

infographics are one of my favourite things to look at, especially when done well.
don't get me wrong, they can some times be a TRAIN WRECK. but most of the time, they intrigue me enough to actually learn something!

here's a series of adverts that forbes did.
their idea being "what the world would be like without these billionaires"

next i wanted to show some interesting and compelling infographics from gustavo sousa which i spotted on co.design here
the following infographics cleverly use the olympic ring design to show the different continents' percentage with things like HIV and obesity

(oh yeah, london 2012 has started btw)
